Default Pictures of my muscle car project

Working on restoring my 1970 Challenger RT/SE, it will be restored all original in FY1 Yellow, black interior, black vynol top, and will have the original 383 Magnum with the original 727 trans., and 8 3/4 rear end. The SE's are rare and not many were bulit in '70. I started this project with the first picture and then took it all apart. I can add more pictures of the process if you guys want to see how an older muscle car comes togther. Enjoy

After b blasting:

Metal work:

New Panels: New from Good mark, and I got some of the very first ones. Fits like a gloove and lines up nicely. Shop said it was like working on NOS.

Before poxy primer:

Personally when I was a kid in 1970 and 1971 I remember that I thought the coolest cars on the road were Charger and Challenger R/Ts...along with the big winged cars...and then when I got older I realized that they were MOPARs! Doh! I still think they're a very nice looking car...with some really nice lines. Nice work! I totally restored my 67 Firebird 400 Vert in 1994....kinda pricey but I'm sure glad I did it! You will be too!

Nice.....i'm doing an old 67 nova myself with the same kinda yellow color from the factory, are you going to spray it another color or keep it yellow?

Are you a member over at teamchevelle.com? Think Ive seen that one over there. Neighbor two doors down always had a couple 70 R/T Challengers..Were both purple, he would throw away the 383s and put 318 2 barrels in them. Love the aggressive look of those cars.

'67 are my favorite year for Nova's. Going 100% stock on this project and it will have the correct factory FY1 Yellow. It also will get the partially black hood detail, RT stripes that are black that run on both sides of the side of the car. With black interior it should contrast nicely.

Yep. Used to have an all original '70 Chevelle LS6, 4 speed, tripple black, with only 17,000 original and documented miles. It had the Protector Plate and buildsheet, original owners name and number. A true collector made me an offer I could not refuse which took me to this new project along with finishing my '68 Charger.
