we're going for it. no excuses, bring out the beast. we will have 5 solid hours of racing with the track to ourselves which will allow a ton of runs.
get your zr1 DONE and bring it out. I have the "drag racing 101" presentation hand outs and will be offering on track assistance for ANYONE that has never done it before.
please remember to bring a helmet for the melon. if you forget we'll loan one to you.
we'll have to flame you for being a no show, run what you brung and hope you brung enough.
thanks for the trophies. I think we should also do a "bracket gamblers" race too if you guys are interested, nothing too expensive, recommend 5-10 bucks so we keep it cheap and fun.
we'll post more details as we get closer, but drage racing is and always will be the essential draw on the gathering.

for the traditional "wed night pizza" we need to either do the uplaza or van dorns. I kinda favor doing van dorn's place as we can do better bench racing and of course drinking there.
of course we are now doing the thursday night stuff at van dorns too.
next week, we'll get more of a firm schedule set, but there is still "room" for some additional stuff.
I'm thinking some "nitro action" in the form of the little RC nitro cars, as well as a zr-1 0-60 radar gun.
just added, is Marc Haibeck doing dyno tunes. you must book the backstreet dyno, as well as scheduling with marc as there is limited slots and this will be done on thurs & friday, although if you are racing wed, marc can likely do a diacom trace going down the track which works pretty well too.
we are looking to make the gathering a fun event. tell your buddies to BRING THE PAIN!!! (in honor of julio, Mr. XS MPH)
