I saw on the zr1netregistry under the zr1 how to that scott farbe shows a little class on how to do it in the
But where exactly do you cut it and what do you use to glue the 2 halves back together? its hard to tell where he cut the actuators at?
I know this is a big problem just wondering if anyone has tackled this themself I want to but I dont want to have to experiment with attaching the 2 halves back together
Someone (can't remember who ) was doing refurbishing of actuators replacing plastic pieces that break with metal. Maybe they will answer and let us know how the process works. It was a pretty cheap fix if as I recall.
There are two different members here that rebuild them, saw it the other day in C4 tech. No, if I can ever master the search function and find them. ..
I repaired my rear actuators numberous times with epoxy glue. I didnt cut them, they broke apart. I simply glued them back together. I eventually replaced them with a used set from a forum memeber. Got them for a great price.
I'm getting the "Service Ride Control" every once in a while . . . primarly when i'm really pushing the car . . . when i stop and turn the car off and on . . . it immediately resets . . . sound like an actuator problem?

Folks anybody else make these pieces out of metal? Z-07 since you have tried this mod I imagine the pieces are easy to come apart and put back together. Just having the quality metal gears is the issue check?
