Update on 1990 White ZR1 was on E-Bay
Previous Thread:

For anyone who follow this thread. I picked up this 1990 ZR1 in Colorado a few weeks ago. It survived the drive back to Houston almost. The pilot bearing needed to be replaced one I arrived. Car runs great. Only had it above normal highway speeds on the way home one time due to the slightly rotten tires it has on it (great tread just too much sitting). Already have taken to autocross on new Hoosier A6s and it is incredible.
Failed the first emissions test, but shop leaned it out temporarly and it passed. Still want to get on dyno but runs strong.
I bought the car expecting to have some trouble with it. But so far my problems are very manageble.
I'll have some pics up in a couple days.

Congratulations!!!!
The Egg survived the trip, this is good news.
(you're stuck with that name, sorry but it fits the car sooooo well.)
How did the failing pilot bearing manifest itself? What kind of noise?
What part of the emissions failed, HC, No or NOX?

Congrats!
Sounds like you got a GREAT deal on a real powerhouse!
Are you going to keep that Yellow motor, or have the color changed? Wonder what that car's RWHP is???
Send us some updated pic's!

Congrats and welcome to Z land. You appear to have gotten a great deal on this Z, you gotta be eggcited (ok, that was bad).
Let anyone laugh all they want, you can be proud that you're a member of the BOB and that you got a deal on your beast. Post those dyno #'s, we'd love to see `em.

The clutch was making a grinding noise and vibration when it was pushed all the way in.
As for the emisions test, I can't remember what I failed. It was just one parameter at idle/low speed.

Keeping the yellow. Looks good in person and draws a crowd when the hood is up. Probably end up tying the yellow in to the exterior and interior later down the line.

Isn't it technically hard boiled? Maybe depends on whether the hood is open or not.
