Frank,

Yes. There are two different PCV valves. The left one is also parted for a number of other GM vehicles. The right hand one is ZR-1 specific.

I am uncertain of service intervals. I usually replace them on my other vehicles once a year, which is most likely WAY too often. However I have been fortunate that they are always easy to been very easy to go to and very inexpensive. No reason to NOT spend the $5 to replace it once a year!

White Racing stocks all of the PCV stuff that you could possibly need, but do know that the left hand PCV valve is still available through GM. You MIGHT be able to get that part locally if there is a GM-related dealership over there.

Thought i'd pas on what i've done as far as the location of the pcv valves. I have tried both ways and for me at least it made no difference. Ive put 40 k on the car . no oil consuption prob. or perforamce diff. no matter which position they are in. I went nuts trying to find this out when i first got the car . hope this helps
