Default PICS: Z06 wheels on a ZR-1

I recently had an opportunity to model the new Z06 wheel and tire package on my ZR-1. These are actual OEM Z06 wheels and tires, not aftermarket. The rears (59mm offset) are mounted with a 1/2in spacer for clearance, the fronts have a 40mm offset and stick out passed the fenders a bit. Wheel finish is the factory polish. Here ya go!

This last pic is a quicky photoshop to see how the wheels look with black centers.

I should also add that the car is sitting higher than normal as we didn't roll it around after jacking. If allowed to settle the ride height would likely drop another 1/2 to 1in.

I think the fronts would look much better if tucked into the fender more - they are 16mm outboard from the factory offset. The rears fill up the wheelwells nicely but would probably look better with a .6 or .7 in spacer. We couldn't go any futher out without longer wheel studs.

I kind of like it but it needs some tweaking with the spacers etc.

Locobob,

I know they don't fit right, but thanks for sharing.....they look cool and nice to see something different.

I'd say if the fronts didn't stick out so much.

Wish I could make that happen but this was just a mock up with borrowed wheels to see how they fit and what they look like on the car.
I am working on a plan to make it happen for real.

Did you drive around with them on and they didn't rub when turning?

It's one of those things to me, the more I look at it, the more I like it.

That’s exactly what I was wandering; it looks like the fronts would touch the fenders when turning?

We didn't move the car at all, the rear wheel studs weren't long enough to get much of a bite on the lug nuts and we didn't want to risk having a failure. I suspect the fronts would present a rub problem - especially on a lowered car like mine.

Looks pretty good, Rob. But, who's the guy in the background with the yellow t-shirt pretending he knows something about Corvettes?
