The local 1/8th mile track is like 10 mins from my house, and my buddy in his Typhoon was going up there. So I took the Z out.
Right when I got there, I teched in, and a guy in a Civic Hatch was like "I want to race a vette, lets go." I was like, alright.

This was in touring mode.
I had a half to full car length on him at the end. I won, but his ET showed him 8.1 @ 83MPH. WTF?!? Even the slip shows me as the winner.
2nd run was against my buddies Typhoon.

Yeah, I hit redline in 2nd and it cut fuel, and car bogged. I got back in it and still won.
Performance Mode really made a differnce, especially in taking out wheel hop.
3rd run again was versus the Typhoon.

This race, I staged too far ahead, the Pre-Stage light was off, and I was backing up a little when the light in the tree started to go. The guys wokring the lights were trying to push people through quick. Still got the win on this one. Still pissed that they were not a little more patient. I was always staging last so my buddy could get his boost launch setup.
Last race was against a newer GTO. Had exhaust, but I honestly can't remember if it had the newer hood. I don't think it did, so I am pretty sure it was an LS1.

Had this guy the whole run. Beat him by 1.0367 secs.
All these runs were on my 18" Michelin Pilots and I was launching at about 25-2800, as I knew I would just spin going any higher.
I will be back again 2 Sundays from this one, and I will have my drag radials on. Should be into the 7s easily.
Now, these 1/8th mile times, what kind of 1/4 times you think I would be running?
Stock '92 zr-1 with the ASR off, K&N filter: 13.13 @ 109, at 2556 altitude. This car dyno'd at 374 bhp SAE corrected. That's not my best time, but that's the one I remember because it was a race against my buddy's '71 Hemi Cuda ( he blew his engine. memorable moment you see ).
Man, I don't remember, I think it was like close to mine or a little better. They only gave me my half of the slip. We stopped and talked after the race, as he was wondering why he lost. Thats how I got to see his slip. He had a fully gutted Civic hatch putting 200hp to the front wheels. This was his first loss of the night. I thought about the RT, but then I thought, that shouldn't matter since I was ahead of him and ran a faster time down the 1/8th. But I think his was a little faster RT.
