Sorry to burst your bubble...I just bought that car. Sent my son who lives in L.A. out to look at it yesterday. It's a one owner car in very good and very clean condition, but not perfect. 47K miles and belonged to a now 85yr old man. Has all the service records. My son says it runs strong, idles smooth and has no leaks. I'm picking it up next week. Needs some hopefully minor things, radio is inop, passenger seat motor is inop, SES and INF REST lights are on. For the price, I'll have a good time getting her into shape...can't wait..looking forward to being in the ZR-1 Club...

Anybody want to buy an immaculate 91' M6 37K mile Vert?

Hans

So you are the one. I have been working with Shane for a week to buy that car. I tried to get a Forum Member in Las Vegas to look at the car for me. I had someone agree to look at the car for me, but I guess it was a little too late. I had the money in hand, but wasn't willing to take the leap of faith that the car was as advertized and board a plane to go and complete the deal. D&#$...

That was an excellent buy, if you didn't get it, it was next on my aquisitions list!

Thanks...I think...

We'll see how much of a deal it really is once I get my hands on it. The only thing that has me even slightly concerned is the SES light being on. I'm hoping for something minor. Either way it's a good deal at that price.

The tough part was getting the wife to agree to let me buy this one before I sold the current one. But you don't run accross deals like this every day. Of course women can't understand why we "need" something like this. But we can't understand why they "need" diamonds and such.

My kid said it's clean and drives well. Wish me luck...

Hans came down to drive it back to CO but found a possible problem. A Knock that might have been a rod is what he thought. I let him come look at my Z and do the same test of pulling off plug wires. We concluded that it was more than likely the duel mass making noise from a rough running engine. He was to go back today and make the deal again. Not sure what happen, I gave him a call and got voice mail. With any luck he's driving it home as I type...

Cheers,
RH

He did go back and buy it.

It should shortly be on the way back to CO. I think he plans to have it at Vettes on the Rockies. He owes me a beer and I plan to take him up on it there.

Cheers,
RH

I'm still a little bummed. I thought I had a deal with this seller and was making arrangements to have a local Las Vegas member take a look at the car for me only to find out he sold it to someone else.

I thought I was going to get a second chance at this car.
