Does anyone have any information about the second design ZR1 size Dymags? I thought that I read on here earlier that the 11 inch rears used a spacer as they were delivered from Doug Rippie.
I have a set for sale here on the Forum and will be taking them to Bloomington Gold (booth M115) and would like to have the correct information. I have a set on my Z and they do seem to set in a little.
Yes, Doug Rippie utilized a spacer and longer wheel studs in combination with the 11" rears. The rims work fine without a spacer on non-ZR-1 cars, although they are at the outer limits of clearance. However, ZR-1's require the spacer which Rippie may still sell. It is a 5/8 " spacer with a hub over-fit. The application also calls for 2 5/8" wheel studs replacing the stock ones. Had just happened to log in and saw your request, how unusual is that, as there are very few sets of these wheels left, especially in vgood condition.
I have recently removed and stored the wheels and parts from my Rippie car, as they will become almost irreplacable in years to come.
Let me know if you have other questions, as well as how you make out if you sell them.
p.s. if they are pristine, value could be about 1500.00 each.
They are rare in the 11" size for the rear. The fronts are far more common, as they were the proper fitment for regular c-4's.

Yes, I have a picture, however I havn't a clue as to how to get it in a reply. Send me your email address and I'll get it to you.
Most who viewed the car with the wheels thought they were superb.

Sorry for the delay in responding, but it is car # 181.
It's great to hear from the other Ruby owners, as well as all others.
I loved those wheels from the first day I saw them, and some think they look better with the silver center piece as opposed to the Ruby emblem. I like them either way. They are extremely light (unlike the owner) although I don't know their actual weight.
