Default wheels ? help me mr. wizard

dear brother's of the beast...i would like to install a new set of wheels on my 1990 zr1...i own a 89 L-98 conv...also..and it has the chrome 5 star zr1 wheels on it already
....so i was wanting to go a little non traditional and install american racing torque thrust 2's or ..coddington...or something...that makes the car look a little different...than all the others...the factory wheels...are in pretty good shape..a little curb rash..but i cleaned and polished on them for a day...and they look good.
i was gonna keep them..in case i wanted to sell the car (never)
ok...my long drawn out question...is it possible to put 18 inch wheels on
a zr1...if so...what are the correct offsets...and such? i am not a wheel guy...but would like the deep dish look...like on foose cars on overhaulin....i drove the zr1 to town the other day...and everyone thinks my 89 conv...is a better looking car..and i think it's because of the wheels...??? personally i think they are nuts...any feedback would be greatly appreciated...i am sorta lost and not a mechanic ...
i have a company...newstalgia wheels...that said they would make me a custom set..in about 4 weeks...with56mm offset? onfront..and
36mm on rear...is this right? i don't wanna spend 2 thousand on wheels that won't fit...not counting the new tires..thanks..Keith in Missouri

yes it's possible and no i don't know the offsets. If it were me I'd stick with a 17" wheel as it is getting hard to find tires in ZR-1 sizes in 18s. the offsets that they told you are correct for the stock wheels. I'm not sure about 18's

The offset would be the same if the wheels are the same width as stock. Otherwise, what width are you talking in 18" wheels, and you can compute the offset that would keep the wheel centered the same...

fronts are 9.5" wide and a 56mm offset
rear are 11" wide and 36mm offset.

Go with the GSD3 tires
