New BG Drag Racing Thread 2006 - only 25 days to go!
Okay - here's an official update for all those drag racers out there, as well as those who want to participate in the show and shine.
We will be afforded the opportunity to compete in a ZR-1 only race on saturday afternoon. In order to compete, you will need to purchase a drag racing credential of some sort (bracket or heads up). You don't have to actually compete in that class if you don't want to (you can just race against Zs if you only wish to do so). If you want to compete in the bracket you sign up for, then please do so! I confirmed that we can compete in 1/4 mile competition, but if you sign up for anything but the heads up racer ticket, then you'll be limited to 1/8 mile racing otherwise. Here are the categories:
Heads-Up Racer Ticket: $85
Bracket 1 or 2 Ticket: $75
Bracket 3 Ticket: $40
Car Show Ticket: $35
The above are good for two days (friday/saturday). Furthermore, if we can get 20 or more interested in ANY of the above tickets, a 14% discount will apply, thus the new prices would be:
Heads-Up Racer Ticket: $73.10
Bracket 1 or 2 Ticket: $64.50
Bracket 3 Ticket: $34.40
Car Show Ticket: $30.10
Once again, only the Heads-up Racer ticket is 1/4 mile, the Bracket 1-3 racer tickets are 1/8 mile only. The classes are:

Yep - true street is the way to go. I don't know when it starts on each day, early afternoon, I would guess. Hopefully we will get a few more guys signing up for the drags. I don't know it is so tough to get interest in the drags. Cmon people - even if you have no mods - the quarter mile is a thrill!
