hey...i live about 2 hours from nixa...nice area...close to the lake of the ozarks and truman lake...alot different climate from calif....alot more humid,, and cold and dreary in winter....but of course...land prices are a lot lower...and taxes....ya do have to worry about natural disasters.
tornado's...and earthquakes...largest earthquake ever recorded and the largest fault in us...new madrid fault...earthquake there in the 1930's caused the mississippi river to run backwards....jeez...but all in all nice area...welcome....to the show me state

I'm from SE Missouri originally. Right on top of the New Madrid fault, actually my Dad works in New Madrid. the "big one" was in 1812 though, not 1930s. Nixa is on the other side of the state too if I remember right. Do agree about the humidity and cold winter. It is not that bad though. Land is a lot cheaper. I love Georgia but Missouri is always "home".

When's the last time a train of t-storms ran someone over? And the ones it does would be natural selection in our parts. Choo CHoo. Now we are none for tornados but they come from Kansas our way, ive lived in MO for 26 years and yet to see one in person. Is Nixa near party cove? then its cool.

Ok its a done deal put house in escrow. Just got home today. I like Missouri, people are very friendly. My house in Ca was sold before the realtor had a chance to put a sign in the ground. Nixa is right outside Springfield about 17 minute drive. The road to the house is very Zr1 friendly nice smooth curves The only thing that scared me is every body shop add says we fix hail damage. Iam going to buy 4 wheel truck when I get there. Everything is in 30 day escrow so Ill pm some of you when I get there.
