Default Drag Racing at BG

Okay - I've called and am close to reserving the track at BG for wednesday night. It will cost 2500 - if we can get to 25 people, then it will cost only 100 per person! Who is in?

Why on a Wednesday Dwight? This isnt good for us coming from the snowy North. Umm, Why not a weekend? Is there something I am missing. This might be turning into a lame duck.

Why don't we just cancel the event and have a marshmello roast out in front of the hotel . We can all wax our cars at the same time.

Well - Rod emailed me - he said he is going to see if he can come early - if I say it is rented, it WILL be rented, I can tell you that much! I'm going to see if I can learn anymore about the other days and who has rented the track. Lets see what a little schmoozing can get me!

Well Ive seen the assembly plant, ran through the museum many times...without some sort of racing it really will seem dull to me. With no racing I guess everyone can TECH TALK everyone else to death for those few days...and compare dyno sheets..

Beech Bend has been a blast...Where else can you go and race against many other ZR1s??? At the local track here Im lucky to see one other ZR1 at the track in an afternoon. Its something to see MANY LT5s thundering down the track...

WHERE ARE ALL THE GUYS THAT WANT TO OPEN UP THEIR CARS??? Come on guys dont turn the gathering into a ZR1 waxers convention. We have enough talk and BS here on the internet!!!! Modified or stock Zs it doesnt matter..its all fun.. In years past there was always plenty of cars with different levels of mods to line up with around the same hp to make some good racing.

Last year quite a few ZR1ers waited for the rain to stop in order to race....WHERE ARE YOU GUYS??? lets get this track rented!!! Otherwise you can listen to the BORING teck talk all weekend long....at that point may as well rent a room at your local Holiday Inn and talk over the web..

I KNOW... I KNOW... there are a certain few that have high HP ZR1s that hide in the bushes everytime drag racing is mentioned..a.k.a.THE DYNO QUEENS..good thing though its only a few people...most ZR1 owners are not afraid of the track..

Why racing on Wednesday? If there is no drag racing I will be staying home!

Is the track rented to a certain group that weekend, or is just an open night. If it is open then it would be just like last year, and that would be great. I guess it's time to have my "BG" at my shop in 07.

It is rented to a private group. That is all I know at the moment. If I learn more, I'll pass it along.

I think it's time to decide on a weekend and stick with it and stop switching around. That way we can rent the damn thing a year in advance and end this ****.

Well it looks like there will not be any racing this year. We need to book it way more in advance to make sure we can get it.

Oh well, I guess there is always next year.......drag racing at my place that is.

Between this and Roc Linkov's comments, I think I'll look forward to the fall Vegas event.
