Default My first ZR-1 is home!

Brought the new car home this past weekend. Torch red '95, WITH 1000 MILES! Yes, one thousand miles, and that is after the 200 mile drive home! She literally is a brand new car. Everything works and she is a beaut! Does not have the performance of my new Z06, but still a really cool, and special car. If someone is willing to host/post a few pics, I will email a few...

Nice sounding ride. A great combo... C6 Z and a C4 Z. Way to go and you live out here in the desert southwest too.

would love to hear the differences about the cars ...
I know the C6 Z06 is probably twice the car but it would be nice to hear a few pros about the ZR-1

Here is a trial link to one pic;

http://i1.tinypic.com/nbviar.jpg

If someone is willing to host higher res pics let me know and I will email a few.

Interior is black, car has every option ( I think). Have window sticker and original invoice. Have known the last owner all my life. The car is within the last 20 built.

It does not have the ooommmpphhh of the new Z06, but is still impressive. I love the engine, and admittedly have not yet pushed it too hard. On the road it drove like a dream (truly like the new car it is). The seats are very comfortable and infinitely adjustable. I really like the dash and control layout. The trans and shifter are nice (the shifter seems fairly long-throw compared to the new Z06). All in all, a very nice driving car and a great motor.

I posted the pic for you but you can do it as well. Just click on the small square yellow box to insert a picture and then cut and past the link. This will make the picture show up in the thread.

The car has both tops. It also has cassette and CD - wasn't the cassette with the CD an option? I may be wrong on this one.... I figured that pretty much everything was standard equipment on these cars.

Windshield is original, and PERFECT ! This car is only a few numbers away from the red one in the museum which has the delam issues. Hope I haven't jinxed myself now...

Tires - original and like new, but of course they are 11 years old. How safe are they? Up to what speed? The car has always been inside, so there is no cracking etc., but I don't know how safe the tires are. Any tips or advice?

Thanks to the gent who posted the pic - I am not a paying forum member, so doesn't that mean I can't post pics? Thanks again.

Everett,
Every ZR-1 had every option except for the two tops option except in 90 when you could decide if you wanted manual ac

Very nice ZR-1 Everett. Maybe you know this already, but you can tell which # your car was in the production cycle by it's VIN #. It is the last 3 digits for your year.

One question, how do you like the sound of the LT-5 at higher RPM's?
