Default Hi there

Nice to read about zr1 owners!

I have just discovered your forum, and I am sure I will find lots of valuable information regarding zr1s

I have owned a 1994 yellow competition zr1 for 8 years, and despite lots ok miles (65000+), it really is in perfect shape. Most specialists looking over, inside and under the car would never believe it has so many miles. Only the wind shield is starting to show little lamin erosion but I really don't care about that.

I have had lots of electronic (it was a nightmare to find a new 1994 ecm) and electrical problems. The engine is very powerfull, I always drive in the high revs, and the lt5 is fine!

I will try to show a couple of pictures if I manage to do the manipulation.

Oh yes, I live in Luxembourg, Europe; we have only 450,000 inhabitants here, and only 2 zr1s i believe; a 3rd one was stolen 2-3 years ago...

Talk to you soon I hope

Vince

Welcome Vince. It would be great to see a ZR-1 with a European background. The very first one I ever saw was in Switzerland. If you have problems posting pictures, send them to me and I will post them for you.

Default Howdy!!!

Vince,

Nice to see and read your post. I hope we hear more from you and I would love to see pictures of your car. I am sure you will find the board a valuable resource, especially since you have so few ZR1 owners near home. Are you going to watch our super bowl? It is in my hometown this year and it is a VERY big deal for Detroit. Happy motoring!!

Thanks for your welcome!

Yes it'll take some time to look through all posts!

I'm posting a couple of pictures to BetweenVettes as I have no idea of how I could do it here...
so thanks for your help BV

Superbowl is unfortunately pretty hard to see from here, so I would have to come over: better sooner than never!

Talk to you later then

Yes, most often people and policemen would think it's a Ferrari or a UFO, or rather a US(peeding)O

Not the nicest picture of the zr1, but it shows how pretty Luxembourg is (behind the river is Germany), and it shows the only two zr1s in Luxembourg. The front one is a Lingenfelter 6L engine.

THey were built to be driven hard. Glad someone is doing just that. Nice looking car.
I am jealous, 24 hours at Lemans is one race I have to get to one day.

Vince,
Welcome to the forums. I agree with the others, it's especially nice to hear from owners around the world. It confirms the world-class concept of the ZR-1.

Are there any differences between a Euro Z and a U.S. Z?

Thanks

Mine has none
usually the windshield, safety belt system, external mirrors, front and rear lights are changed, but local authorities can tolerate car with original items

I am the second owner, and my predecessor therefore managed to have it with original items: lucky me!

More photos from Vince!

Vince: If you have more you'd like to post, feel free to keep sending them. In one of your previous e-mails, you mentioned there were two photos but only one made it through. If there are any you sent me that haven't been posted, go ahead and send it again.

This air intake together with the headers from Geoff Jeal have added genuine power and performance to the Z. Other Zr1 owners in Europe are really impressed.
