Sounds like they are being straight up about it, though details on what work it needs is pretty sparse. I'd think they'd have a lot more photos too, for a car that has damage.

Well if they posted the original photos of the UBOAT then there probably wouldn't be bidders.
wow ...we should but the vin# on know totals 1644 In the state of NJ over 7 years old you don't need a salvage title.. its at more than I would be willing to pay for a flood or as they say went for a ride in a Pond.
So what It went into the pond if you all had any sence you could get a complete new wiring harness from a wrecked ZR1 and you just tear that one down clean it all up install new wiring, new carpet with some used sound deadener, new seats
tear down all the electric motors and rebuild them
I dont think anything is wrong with the motor I just thing the people working on it dont have a CLUE!
put it all back together and you have a Brand new toy!
Oh and I have a complete set of ZR1 wiring ill sell for $10K
I say as long as nothing else is worng with it from the wreck its worth all of that 10K its already at
I think its being sold by a salvage buyer... not bashing the prior owner ...it will end up with someone saying our cars are junk////because it is a flood, the true reason for future problems..
I find it hard to believe it was out of the "pond" in 15 minutes.
I highly doubt it was out in 15 minutes as well.
But in reality 15 mins in a lake or 30 mins - what difference does it make?
I don't think its a good buy. By the time you put all the time and effort into the car, you will have spent $10,000 in your time/labor and prolly still always have a flaky car.

Thats not a salvage buyer that is selling it, highly reputable.

Not if you do it right and I never figure in labor cost because I do it all myself when im playing with my ZR-1s so I figure to get that car back to the condition it was in before the swim.
If you buy all new parts like carpet, seats and so on
get all new wiring from a salvaged ZR1 you might hit $6,000
And I think the majority of that cost would be the wiring unless you just got a smoking deal on it.
If you strip the entire car and chage out all the wiring you have yourself a new car thats my way of thinking
But your a waxer why did I bother to type all this
unless its a banana and never driven it doesnt matter to you
