And im SYKED!!! I am planning to pick the car up either tonight or tomarrow and will certainly let everyone know how it goes. Hopefully it won't turn out like the fiasco I read about with allvegashomes's transaction through eBay....
Also, I've been reading quite a few threads recently on this ZR1 forum trying to learn as much as possible. Is there anything in particular I should look at when I go to pick up the car??
Thank You, and I look forward to hearing from you guys and learning as much as I can from this forum!!!

You go buddy! At that mileage I would not expect any problems. Just learning myself. Not sure how you can go wrong at this price. I would be looking to see if everything lines up. Body damage is pretty easy to detect. Look for signs of a repaint around the door trim and any place the panels come together. My first clue was the removable top did not line up with the window. Upon closer examination I could see overspray and a difference in the smoothness of the body. Check the rubber seals - newer on one side than the other = accident. Look for any leaks ect. Make sure windows/lights go up and down with due speed. A rattle at startup indicates the cam chain tensioner may need to be replaced. Take the car for a spin and warm it up a little. When you stop check RPMS. If RPMs stay approx @ 1500 then drop you may have a vacuum leak. Check ALL gauges and idiot lights. See posts. Very helpful. Have phun!
I think you done pretty well. It seems, though it was run hard at times, it was maintained decently, at least that's what was claimed.
Let us know more as you drive it.

I believe this was fixed with a new ECM program. If you had a vacuum leak, I don't think the rpms would drop, it would stay high idling.
Also, wrt the side window, the window can be adjusted. If it isn't meeting the top properly, it probably just needs to be adjusted. You have to take the door panel off to do this, but it's not too difficult.

Funny! I really don't know for sure why my car is idling this way. Been doing it since purchase. Read another thread and it seemed to indicate this as my problem???? You think ECM program????

I'm hardly a troubleshooting expert. But I do think that if you had a vacuum leak, it would leak all the time, not just after coming to a stop. What I mean is, why would the idle drop down after a few seconds? Did the leak go away?
What seems a little more likely is that the ECM isn't dropping it quick enough when you stop. If you put the car in neutral while cruising, you'll see it holds a higher idle. I assume this is to ease the transition back into a gear at some point. If you put it in neutral while stopped, it idles lower, at the normal idle point. If yours takes time to drop, I'd guess it's related to the ECM rather than to a leak. But I'm just guessing.
There was a new program for 1990 and 1991 cars to resolve an issue like the one you describe. You can pull the PROM from the ECM very easily and check the program code stamped on it. It's at least a start towards figuring it out.

How do you get in ther and make that adjustment? Is there a link with pictures of this 'cause you are noe the third person to suggest doing this.

It was 5 years ago easy that I did this to my 1987 'vette... Once you get the door panel off it should be fairly apparent. You'll see the rails the window rides on, and there are screws or bolts or something that you can use to adjust how angled in or out the glass is and such. I'm sorry I can't recall specifics, but it wasn't too hard to do when I did it. I had a Haynes manual at the time, though the proper Helm manual would be an even better choice.

CONGRATS You got a heck of a car. I had a freind of mine that is involved in SCCA check on who may have owned it. I asked the seller if it was Duke Langley's car and he said it was.
It has all the stuff to contend at the national level in SCCA Solo II
I was with you up to about 15, you got a hell of a car there pal
