Default Bosch oil filter...

Man does it look right!

No more Delco blue! I also picked up a K&N oil filter as I couldn't decide, and the nearest place that sells them isn't near...

Anyone have any advice or whatnot on the Bosch? I'm not that familiar with the company. As long as the filter is as good or better than the ACDelco, then that's good enough for me. The black color is the deal sealer. I took the sticker off it, and used mineral spirits to remove the yellow stamping on the top. Looks nice!

don't know anything about the bosch, but I have taken my K&N's and painted them black, red, chrome, and LPE LT5 engine color.

Most prefer the Mobil #207. Black painted filter looks good on the LT5

What do you use, just like an aerosol can of paint? Do you scuff up the existing finish or anything like that? Any tips?

Ive painted several semigloss black. Just use a common paint like krylon. Sticks good doesn't peel or flake. Just painted a white K&N after removing the label. Wipe down with denatured alcohol or spray with brake cleaner and wipe dry. Don't get any paint or solvent on the gasket.
