Default Injector o-rings .... I'm confused

I'm FINALLY putting the injectors, plenum, etc. back together after having the plenum & injector housings ported/polished.

Just realized that I should replace the injector o-rings (one of them is damaged) but I'm confused as to the number of o-rings. These are stock injectors.

1) there are 8 of the smaller o-rings where the injectors fit into the housing. Right?
2) are there larger o-rings that fit into a groove or channel? I have one of these o-rings on one injector and I'm assuming that I didn't notice that the others were stuck in the housing before I had the work done.
3) are there any other o-rings associated with the injectors?

Last question ...
Where are the o-rings available? Dealer? Kurt White?
I have access to an o-ring supplier locally. Does anyone know the correct sizes? Or should this be avoided?

Thanks in advance. I just know that someone on the forum will have the answer(s).

George

George, there are a total of 32 o-rings for the injectors.

16 for the top and they are all the same.

8 for the primary, they fit in the injector housing.
8 for the secondary, they fit on the injector.

If you do find them locally, make sure they are fuel rated (brown in color). I know Kurt has these

I think it's a "viton" o-ring

It can be blue, green, brown, black or orange. This is what I have found when playing with my mess.

Also you will use 24 o-rings. The last 8 are by year.

90-92 in the housing
93-95 on the bottom of the injector

The manual states to use new o rings every time you remove injectors, but I removed and reinstalled them mine 5 times without problems. Advisable if you remove them often, but not so much if you dont plan on removal until many years down the road.

I may have some extra o-rings for the injectors in my garage at home if you still need some.

Thanks for the offer ... located what I needed locally at AC Delco parts store.

Thanks also to all who responded .... you were a great help, especially the part about not having to replace the o-rings each time you have the fuel rail off. With the exception of one damaged o-ring, the rest look brand new.
