Default King of the Lake???

At Englishtown today, a ZR1 running the autocross course took a unplanned dive into the lake that bordered the course - through the chainlink fence, here she is...

I have many, many more pics but am very tired...

...more to follow

Too much throttle - NEVER too much power!

That is amazing how good the engine looks though - who has a spare wiring harness for this poor bugger? Not to mention interior!

That's neither the father (Owner of the car) or son (Driver at the time of incident) in the pic - those are two boaters who were looking for a place to chain the car to, to extract it from the lake

it was pulled SIDEWAYS out of the water for the first 40 ft then it broke free and it was hooked to something else...

Then it dragged and scraped its floor across the asphalt berm, bottoming out as it was dragged from the water

VIN?? That's kinda personal, isn't it??

...seriously, the track officials kept all but the owner(s) and track corner workers (being interviewed and written statements taken) away from the car

Here's some more pictures

I recognize that license plate. I met the owner about two years ago at a car dealership. I also saw that car about three weeks ago at the local Chevy dealer, it was in for service I don't think the insurance is going to help in this case
