Ok guys, I am a little worried now. I just had my clutch replaced and they resurfaced the flywheel...Now I am reading in the C4 Tech section that you should not resurface the flywheel.
I would not resurface the fly wheel. If you already did, consider buying a new one, or more than likely you'll be r&r the tranny again. Most of the time they remove too much material in order to make it right.
So how long will it be before I notice problems? I only put about 2000 miles a year on the car. But it goes to the drag strip 4 or 5 times in that year.
Well good news, I just called the transmission place, and talked to them and they said the same thing, You DO NOT RESURFACE (MACHINE FLYWHEEL). I just misunderstood what they told me. All they did was clean it up to take the surface dirt off it. NO MACHINING DONE. I feel much better now.

Thanks for the replay’s I really appreciate it.

LPE machined mine back in the day - made no difference whatsoever. Supposedly, there is a lip on the edge of the flywheel that makes take-up of the clutch smoother, and without it (after machining) the action is more abrupt. I didn't notice any problems.
