Default Gearbox questions.

Ime planning to refit the box back into the car tomorrow, should i put a dab of grease onto the nose of the shaft where i goes into the spiggot bearing, put a thin coating of grease on the shaft that passes thru the throw out bearing and dab some copper grease on the clutch fork ends where it touches the throw out bearing.
Thanx.

The throwout bearing ID and OD (where the clutch fork rides) should be lubricated along with the Clutch fork ball stud. Refer to Page 7C-12 Figure 11 (1990 Manual) with GM P/N 1052356
My manual says the pilot bushing is oil impregnated and I can not find a reference where it calls for lubrication on the input shaft nose or pilot bearing.
Not sure what copper grease is, I would use recommended lubricant.

Btw,over here we use copper grease in places like on the backs of brake pads to stop brake squeal, there's probably another name for it in the U.S.
