Default Looking for 94/95 ZR-1

First, forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this. Just ZR-1's (wanted and for sale) can get lost in the sea of C-4s.

I am looking for the following:

Year: 94 or 95.
Color: FIRST choice ; Admiral Blue Second choice ; Black
Int Color: FIRST choice ; grey Second choice ; Black (with either ext color).

I am really looking for LOW mile cars. Under 25k miles. Rather be under 10-15k miles. As you can see by my sig (insert mullet joke here) I love rare / prestine cars that mean something to me. The ZR-1 is one.

Thought is, the lower the miles the better the chance to get one before the typical issues occur (delaminated glass, etc).

Would (possibly) consider a 93 BLACK / GREY .

No reason to tell you my budget, since we'd all like one for $3 and a StarBucks coupon. But we all know what the market will bring. So I won't bore ya!

I DID find a 94 Admiral Blue / Black on ZR1netregistry. But it's at 70k miles, and he's looking for 30K. I'm sure it'd be worth it someday. Just not today, and not to me.

Bummer.

HELP!!!

Any and all advice appreciated. And thanks for reading my first official (lurker since 2001) post!

Michael

Good luck on your search and welcome to the forum.
I just want to say one quick comment. The window delamintation has nothing to do with miles on the car or even if it sat in the sun a lot. Reason I say this is because the 95 Red ZR-1 that sat on display at the NCM with no miles had windshield delamintation. Go figure.
But, welcome and I hope you find that admiral blue/grey you are looking for. There wasn't many made at all.

Lots of luck finding an Admiral Blue with that kind of miles. Don't worry I'm sure it would be coming at a premium price if there's any out there. A black one may be more reasonable priced.

Over the last two years, I have seen two low mile '94 Admiral Blue cars in the ZR1 Net Registry's for sale section. I know one of them was Admiral Blue/Grey and I think it had 7,500 miles on it. You don't see them often, but be ready to act if you do. This was the color combo I was originally looking for and I started looking in 2001.

Coincidentally, there is a '94 Admiral Blue/Grey on Ebay Motors right now, but it has about 65,000 miles. Looks pretty nice.

Black/Black should not be too hard to find. The delam varies from car to car. It has been my experience to have a few color combos in mind with ZR-1s so that you can take condition into account.

Better get the $$$ and starbucks coupons out.

It took me over 1 year to find my Z and if I hadn't found this one, who knows how long it would have taken me.

Good luck on your search, You are going pay a premium for that car, not likely to be one you STEAL....

Thanks for the support! I know it's not going to be an easy search. But honestly, even my *second* choice is a sweet car!

I remember seeing that Admiral Blue/Grey on ZR1net a while ago. Still have the bruises from kicking myself

Oh Yea it has 29k on it and NOT for sale

I loved my Polo, but this CRAZY Blue does something to me every time I lift the car cover

Good Luck for one with less then 15k on it.

I think 70% of the ZR-1's come from Texas. Or so it seems! Haven't you heard about Texas? They do things BIG down there!

Yea, there really is something about Admiral Blue. Gets looks and compliments from all ages, everyone.

I've always been blown away by it, which is odd. Usually I'm just never impressed by color.

I'm more "Wow. It's black. Looks great clean" kinda guy...

Gotta have it.

Must have it...

Hey Demps, I was just looking at your Corvette pics. Is it just coincidence that your house # is 448? Must be destiny!

I know there's a lot of coloquilisms used these days, but could you be specific and say what you mean in plain English.

Sorry: Oops, my bad:
If you read his post over on turbobuicks.com he advised that everyone that owned a '94-'95 ZR1 over here offered to trade him. I just found that hard to believe, but maybe I am just looking at it in the wrong light. That's all. Maybe he's just a little over enthusiastic about what you guys thought of the tta. Sorry for any confusion. Anybody that owns a '89TTA and wants a ZR1 can't be all that bad.
