By now you all know about my new 1991 ZR-1, so far I posted about the bad oil leak (very upset) and a few other newbie questions. This site is a good resource for us new ZR-1 owners and before long I hope to be adding value to this site as well.

I'm still getting use to way this car drives, had my first burnout today with my father in-law, reved her up to about 3000 and let it go. My pop said WTF as we peeled off like Don Johnson in Miami Vice only faster.
Next was on the highway doing 70 mph in 5th, dropped her to 4th and nail it, YIKES! Now I know why she is the King Of The Hill

I just had a new clutch put in mine and it’s like a whole different car. I have been out slamming it through the gears trying to get use to it all over again. I thought it felt fast before, but know OH MY GOD! This new clutch grabs so quick I almost lose the back end when the tires break lose. Simple incredible!

Hi Mike,

Does that mean you will be taking it back to the track for some new numbers? I can't remember, but I thought it was you that put in a little drag time with o.k. results. You'll probably "wrinkle" the asphalt this time.

Headed for Bowling Green next week, I'll be doing the drag race thing, I hope to get some good runs in.
