Lights on 86 LCD unit
Thanks guys, the LCD unit came out, now where do I find these light bulbs at? I took off the silver panel on the back of the unit, and the only thing I see is a circuit board, do I need to take it out also?

actually, you didnt need to remove the lcd, I replaced mine with the lcd in the car.... the 4 silver plugs on the front pop right out, and I used a piece of shrinkrap hose to pull the bulbs out. reinstallation I used a hose also, but used a big q-tip with a wooden shaft to push it out of the hose. worked like a champ. be careful not to touch the bulb itself. it's halogen.

If you want to replace the bulbs AND the sockets then you have to yank the unit as you did. Now you have to remove the 1st circuitboard you see. Under that one you'll find the back side of the white sockets that hold the bulbs. I think the screws are 7/32".

I'm still not sure what bulbs you guys are buying...
When I had my dash cluster apart I replaced all the bulbs (if I remember right it was 3 small bulbs, and 5 or so larger ones).
I purchased them from my local dealership, the total bill was under $10... probably 75 cents or so/bulb...
maybe there are different prices in different areas...
