Default 88 Vette 1/8th mile time?

Well took my 88 Vette to the Local dragstrip and ran a 9.26et @ 72mph in the 1/8th mile? Sometime last year I ran a 9.10et with about the same weather conditions but at different track. Since the 9.10et I have had the injectors cleaned (because of hard starting probs), we have replaced a burnt piston that broke in the motor, and put a Transgo shift kit in. Also before I went to the track this weekend I did all the FREEBIE mods (TB bypass, new filter and lid cut, MAF screen removal, plugged vaccum on Fuel pressure regulator, and frisbee removed). The car has a .040 remanufactured motor and shaved heads. Other that it is completely stock. Also gutted the big Cat convetor too, still has two cats on it though.

Is this a normal running Vette, was kinda of hoping for 9.00s et!!!
Next thing is Roller Rockers and exhaust work. Will that get me down in the numbers.
Thanks
