Default Max compression ratio on Sunoco 94?????

I have a 355 Chevy carburetted engine with cast iron Vortech heads. I'm looking for input as to the max compression ratio that I can run using Sunoco 94 pump fuel. I do not want to go to race fuel and this is in a C4 that is used for road racing. All input and guidance is appreciated.

if you have any computer controls - knock sensor, etc - I would think 11.0:1 is doable.

I ran 11.8:1 with steel Sportsman IIs on my 406, but NEVER when I was at the track. You could mix with a 110 or 112 if you can find it.

This engine is totally old school. Carburetted with no computers.

Depending on your camshaft I would say 10:1 to 10.5:1. More overlap, higher compression.

You can still get 94? They took it away from our pumps.

I'd say 10.5 on the safe side but maybe a little more with a perfect tune. Vortech head have a good combustion chamber and a well placed plug so you can run a little more comp. than most heads. Also because of the good CC you don't need as much timing. 30 degrees is probably enough.

That is what I was thinking. It happened up north first, then about 2 weeks ago it disappeared in our area.
