Default Code 34 and 36, 88 Vette

Got a 88 Vette and has always pulled a 34 and 36 code every since I have got this car. I have changed the MAF sensors and changed the two relays that are associated with the MAF sensor. A while back I took car too Chev. dealership and they told us they could not communicate with the ECM. Went to local parts store and bought an ECM and did not change nothing. Still pulled codes. I need some advice of what to do and maybe look for? Thanks

Do you have a service manual?

yes I have the ones you actually get from the Chevy dealership. Walk through it many times and still no help. just wondering if someone new off hand what could get it fixed. Might go through it again.

Don't overlook the fact that you could have gotten another bad ECM, it should have come with a warranty, hopefully it has not expired and you can try another one.
