Lots of places (or members) can burn you a chip. I think what you may want or need is just a new fan switch from Mid America/Ecklers? ect... It will turn on your cooling fans at a lower temp. You would need a lower temp thermostat to complement it also. How hot are you running? Maybe you need mechanical problems fixed before resorting to this stuff? Try the regular stuff like cleaning out the debris in front of the radiator- this includes the trash between the A/C condensor and the radiator. You need to remove the whole shroud to do it- but it shouldnt take more than a few hours tops. People have been amazed at the amount of trash they found in there.

I don't run but about 185 on the highway. It is stop and go that will make it go to 227 and that bothers me. I would like her run cooler. And a happy and safe Independence Day to all :flag

You can get an aux fan switch, install it into the plugged hole in the block below #1 & #3 spark plugs and hook it up to your main fan relay.

Mid America (pp 4-45) has the switch (on at 200, off at 185) for $12.99 and a conversion harness for $12.99. If you don't have an aux fan now, you may need the conversion harness to get the connector for the switch.

My 1996 LT4 heats up to 230 degrees in slow traffic and at idle. The Fan Cooling Switch and Harness kit thru Ecklers catalog ($39.99) does not apply to 1996 Corvettes. The only other option I saw for the 1996 is a VHP Constant Monitor Fan Control ($194.99). That is a big difference in $$$'s and installation work. I would really like to keep things simple and cost effective. Any ideas for a 1996 LT4 that heats up quickly.?
