Dynojet shows 204 HP
I haven't driven my car since I had it inspected for pollutants in April. My wife says "Why don't we go to the drag strip Friday?" My best time was a 13.73 at 100mph. Yesterday I had a Dynojet freebie and the gentleman running the shop was doing the testing. (Honda gearhead) The first time he floored it the test stand shook. He repositioned car and tried again. I must say my car sounded impressive after listening to my brother's Focus. The numbers were 204 HP and 275 lb.ft torque. I'm guessing those numbers are real low. Any idea as to what it should have tested?

TPI create a lot more torque than people give them credit for. When my car was stock i raced a twin tubo supra MKIV...I had three car lengths on him at the half way point...he beat me by a car length at the 1/4 mile point!

If it's stock, those numbers are right on. Assuming 15% driveline loss for a 4+3 transmission works out to 240hp at the crank. Using 18% nets 248hp. As I recall the '88 was rated at ~240 or 245hp at the crank.
If you did a few minor things (i.e. exhaust), when one accounts for wear/tear/mileage I'd still maintain you're basically where you should expect to be.

Your torque number seems way too low, should be up around 300. And if you ran 13.73, then that's sweet for a stock L98!!

A 13.73 sec pass @100 mph at the elevation of Firebird Raceway and in summer heat suggests a lot more CHP than your dyno pull reports.
If you have an A4 that dyno suggesta about 245 HP at the crank.
A 100mph trap speed for a 3,380 lb Vette suggests about 265 CHP.
I think the DynoJet numbers were not normalized for weather. Indeed that torque looks way low for an L98.

When the operator was going through the output graphs he said it was hard to tell when the car shifted. I did see one set of numbers that was 224 HP and 325 lb/ft. I think those are the numbers he should have printed out and gave me. I have a 52mm TB, roller tip rockers, hiflow cat. and a 3.54 rear. It was about 95 degress Friday night.

Re: Dynojet shows 204 HP (ZD1)
my pretty much stock 91 was around 207-212 rwhp and can't remember the torque but it was up where the corrected flywheel number was 370 ftlb. My 91 was rated at 250 hp/350ftlb so my engine was a little on the high side of its stock rating.

That 224 RWHP computes to 265 HP at the crank, which I assume was corrected for weather. That's more in line with your uncorrected trap speed. With the temp and elevation of Firebird you would lose maybe 20 CHP.
Do you have any other mods like K&N with cut lid, cat-back, etc? Your numbers are pretty strong for just the mods listed.
