Default asjustable MAF.....

Just got new copy of MAD catalogue. In it they have an "adjustable MAF". Anyone have any feedback on this?

Saw that also. I'm wondering exactly what it is you can adjust?

If I were to guess you can maybe "fake" the computer into using lower MAF values to represent higher than normally readable airflow. You try to get rid of that whole 255 gm/sec limitation.

I have one. It's made by Microtech and the non adjustable version is available from Advance Auto.

My impression: The non-adjustable Microtech MAF's are calibrated wrong which results in a higher voltage being reported for all airflows. This causes a rich condition that the ecm tries to compensate for. I swapped in the stock Bosch (descreen and definned) and the voltages were lower and mixture was normal.

The Adjustable MAF allowed the correct voltage to be sent to the ecm. This could be useful to an engine that breaths more than stock. You'll still have the 255gm/sec limitation.
