the 700r4 in my truck has 200,000 miles on it know and i dont think that it has ever had the fluid changed

(1) You should monitor the fluid weekly and after doing something out of the ordinary. If you notice a change in the smell (burnt) and/or color of the fluid (brown) you should do a "complete" change of the fluid. If the fluid looks/smells ok, then "leave it alone", do not change fluid if it is ok, waste of time & money.
