I am sure there are 1001 posts on what manual is the best for working on Corvettes but the search feature is still not working so....
What is the best repair manual for a 1990 Coupe and where is the best place to get one? Thanx!
I bought three the oem from helms a chilton and the hayns
some cover things better than the other one i consult all three.IF YOU NOT GOING THE OEM WAY Buy both chiltons and hayns you need both it never hurts to have too many pictures.
Helms is the best, though for the older C4's, the schematics are now in black & white (the originals were in color). Alldata, http://www.alldata.com is an online source for a fee that includes all the Tech Bulletins. It's probably worth it for the Bulletins, but the Tech info seems to be a hodgepodge of misinformation (so after you download and print all the Bulletins, you might as well let the subscription lapse). If you have a friend at a dealership and a really good scanner (like a Tech 1), see if you can scam some Mitchell software to go with it (my neighbor is a distributor). Amazing stuff the one or two times I've been able to use it.
Helms :D I have the Haynes too :( Everyone kept recommending Helms, got both Servic manual and electrical diagnostic for $66.50 off ebay-Am I impressed or what :D Now I can challenge things that scared the poopie out of me. :seeya
