Re: How hard is it ? (1990CORVETTE)
Should be very easy I would think. Screw them in before/after the catalytic convters. Probably lift the car with a jack and loosen a clamp or the entire exhaust, lower it down and put them in? That's my best educated GUESS.

You definitely need to lift to car a little bit to get to it. The sensor will be on the driver's side on the Y-pipe just below the junction between the manifold and the Y. If you haev snake eyes (the super human ability to look around objects in dark spaces) you see the sensor just below (12-16") the brake master cylinder/resovior.
The sensor unscrews will a 3/4" or 20-22mm wrench. The problem will be getting that wrench in that tight of a spot. Or you can join the buy a tool to use it once club an get yourself a socket designed for O2 sensors...sears will probably have it.
Go ahead and start spraying the mating surface with WD-40 as it will be pita to get it off.
LOL

Re: How hard is it ? (ZD1)
I shall investigate location and hopefully identify any PITA situations that might lie in store for me. Thanks for the help.. :D

I replaced the O2 sensor on my '90 L98 recently. You can reach it from the top (it's located above the pre-cat on the aft side of the left exhaust header)and replace it without raising the car. Take a look and you'll see how accessible it is.

:iagree:
There's nothing to it. Just unplug, use an open end wrench to loosen it, thread the new one in and plug it back in.
Including jacking the car up(I've always done it from underneath) it won't take you but 15 minutes at the most.
