Default VATS info

Just a little info for those suspecting VATS problems. My car, a 94, would not start saturday or sunday. I was able to read the resistor pellet in the key with an ohm meter. I tried the door key reset mentioned in other threads. No joy. Since I have only one set, I decided to have another set made and the new key starts the car while the old one still does not. Upon inspection of the old key verses the new, the contacts on the old key are noticably worn down on the side away from the steering wheel. Luckily I didn't just dive in and start taking thing apart. So, add "check pellet contacts for wear" to the list of VATS problems.
