Default L98 intake manifolds - f-body/corvette

is there any difference between the l98 intake manifold from a f-body and a corvette? mainly can you swap the intake from an 87 305 to an 86E 350?

are there any differences in the corvettes from 85-91?

yes... there might be
if you take the entire system from the camaro it WILL bolt onto the corvette... but for some years the runners, base, and plenum will not fit together correctly, and some do not have provisions for the 9th injector
just last month there was an article about the TPI's and what years had what and which are interchangeable... i think it might have been in super rod or super chevy but i honestly can't remember :nonod:

if you want to keep EGR, forget about using an f-body manifold. The f-body manifold takes the exhaust gasses from the head. The vettes (at least those with aluminum heads) take it from the exhaust manifold, so the intake manifold has to be different.

The 85-86 f-body manifolds have the proper bolt angle that will bolt to any y-body head. The 87-92 f-body manifolds have the "new" style bolt angle in the center 4 manifold bolts, while the y-body heads continued to use the "old" style.

Clear as mud?

I have an 85 Vet and an 88 Camaro IROC TPI in my El Camino. I do know that the fuel lines enter from the driver's side on the Camaro and the Vet's fuel lines enter on the passenger side. Without looking closely and doing a stare and compare, I'm not positive if they are interchangeable since I believe the fuel rail bolts onto the intake in two different locations. I"ll have to check it out in the daylight.
