Purchased My First Performance Part Today
I brought home a set of Crane 1.6 Energizer roller rockers today. My first performance parts for the vette. :hurray: I couldn't resist because the price seemed good and there was only 1 week left that i could get them at this price. $160 U.S.. Will these fit my stock valve covers if i remove baffles and trim up the center bolt extrusion ? If not OH WELL :smash: :hurray:

Well done!! Gutsy first mod though - mistakes on adjustment can ruin your cam. Not trying to scare ya or anything, but as I consider this mod, I believe it to be a little beyond my mechanical scope. I would need some guidance. But you can do it!! :seeya

Good call on the RR. You should mod that 86 and put some silver ZR1 wheels on it too! :D

Remember, if these are not self-aligning, you will also need guide plates, and hardened pushrods. Good luck with what is probably only the first of many mods. So many goodies,so little money, that's my problem.

What kind of performance will you get by going to a 1.6 rocker, assuming that 1.5 is the stock size. I know it will give a little more lift, but how much does it help hp and torque. :auto:

Take your time......Read the book twice and go at it...It is really not that hard....and you would know something is wrong by the sound well before the cam was ever damaged......Don't be scared :nono: ........This is a great get to know your car project.......Good luck....
