Default Finally got some dyno numbers.......

Got on a Dyno-Jet today. It was a blast. After the first run I was shaking like the first time at the drag strip. Dyno numbers make more sense to me now. Here's what I got:
Motor run-341hp@5800rpm, 348ftlb@4300rpm
Nos run (150hp)-463hp@5500rpm, 516ftlb@3600rpm
What do you think? BH

BFGs are radials, no tubes needed.

315 BFG KD's are the best dry street tire you can get, IMHO. Wet is a little different though :(.

At the wheels? Holy crap that's great!
What ONE mod would you say accounts for most of the muscle(nitrous excluded)?

What ONE mod would you say accounts for most of the muscle
That one mod would be heads/cam/headers. They all work with each other to make more power than the sum of all the individual parts.

I know that can sound confusing but consider this. Headers on a stock car might make a 10 hp difference. Headers on a car that already has a cam might make a 15-20 difference. Headers on a car that already had a cam and heads could easily make a 30 hp difference.

Same goes for heads, fancy heads with a stock cam and headers might not do too much. Sure it'll help some but you never really see the true benefit until you do it all.

When I did a cam swap on my car I picked up 44 hp. Since the rest of it was stock that would be a cut and dry fact that the cam gave me 44. Then I added headers and picked up 23 more. How much of it was from the headers though and how much of it was for allowing the cam to function better?

It's a really tricky thing and it makes it impossible to always accurately predict the gains any given mod may do. When somebody is asking how much horsepower mod X will give you have to ask another question. Who knows, do you already have mdos Y & Z?

Just my $.02

IMHO on my car the best seat of the pants improvement came from the headers. Unfortunately though since I installed the headers after I did my cam I don't know if the headers would have the same affect on a stock car.

Not sure about just one mod. I would guess the heads or cam gave the biggest boost. Still get 21mpg too!

Honas,

Very nice numbers both on and off the juice. God I need to play with that stuff. Just can't bring myself to it yet. lol.

Your dyno numbers are very close to mine, and so are your ETs! Pretty cool.
