Default What is this tube?

What is this tube in the pic? It is on the driver's side, between the runners. It is extremely dented and looks like flow would be very limited. Where would I get another one? Any part numbers or suggestions...

Cold start injector. I wouldn't worry about it.

John, I think the arrow is pointing to the pipe just right of the CSV. It is used for emissions. Not sure how it works, but I dont think you are hurting anything by not replacing it. It connects to the PCV that is in the driver's side valve cover. You can just replace it with a rubber hose if you are looking for the inexpensive way out.

Ah, I didn't pay enough attention. Was the PCV system different on the early TPI cars?

That is the aluminum vacuum tubing to the intake manifold for the positive crankcase ventilation valve. It also feeds the vacuum line that goes to the fuel vapor canister. A leak in this system will result in very poor idle.

Should that tube be present on my '88? I'm going by memory(ie. too lazy to go outside and check) but I don't recall seeing that on my '88.
