estimate on how much horsepower I'm making ?
I used some of these horsepower fomulas and I'm getting numbers way out of the ballpark of 300-320 I wish, I'm just wondering what you guys think I'm making or if there is any one with similiar mods that has been on a dyno what numbers did you put down. My mods are gutted main cat, flowmaster force 2 cat back, K&N air filter with an open air lid, throttle body bypass, manual fan switch, 160 degree themrostat. It's a 86 with iron heads best 1/4 mile 60' 1.840 13.531@99.63mph on street tires thanks for any input

@ 99 MPH I'd say you're still in the 260ish range. An LT1 with its 300hp traps higher than that.

I would bet you are making somewhere less than 275hp. How much less is hard to say but I don't think there is any way you would make more with those mods. But, that is a great ET (in my opinion) for an early L98 with no major intake or cam or head mods.

Thanks for the info I figured that I was making around 250 and that the torque was the reason for the 1/4 mile times because none of the formulas that I used torque as a factor. thanks

That is a damn good ET/MPH considering you have the 2.59 snail gears.
If You get better gears you'll have to worry about wheelspin probably.
I ran the same mph as you with 3.07' and SLP siamesed runners but with the cat and stock exhaust, other than targa mufflers. The SLP's sacrafixed some torque I think though..
