Top 5 most beneficial mods to a basically stock C4.
I was intrigued by the recent post about worthless mods and was curious what you all think are the best mods when you consider the ROI of the mod.

When you say mods I assume you mean power producing or increased driving pleasure in relation to the cost of the mod. IMO, I would say...
1. N20
2. Exhaust (complete)
3. Cam
4. Gears
5. P&P Heads
Of course, the camber brace and other great "bang for the buck" mods are out there, but don't necessarily produce power or help put it to the ground.

#1 Long tube headers and exhaust seem to free up some nice power, and they don't sound to bad either
#2 If its a TPI, I would then address the stock intake. A SuperRam/MiniRam setup, or if you pockets are light, aftermarket runners and lots of porting.
#3 Gears always seem to wake things up nicely.
#4 If its stick, I would get a Centerforce Clutch. I put them in everything I own. If its Auto, a little more stall speed would be nice.
#5 You can't argue with the $/hp of NOS.

IMO not all mods=HP:
1. Spare tire delete
2. Headers and cat-back exhaust
3. 13" front brakes
4. ZR-1 wheels (or equivalent)
5. Lowering kit
I am ready to be flamed... :boxing

My favorite mods so far are the Hurst shifter and the Meziere water pump. I did shortie headers just for heat elim and looks.

In the case that it's an LT4, and you already have the mods in your sig. I'd add a set of 4.10 gears, as well as Long Tube Headers. Maybe if you wanna delve into the motor, add a LT4 Hot Cam Kit.

Re: Top 5 most beneficial mods to a basically stock C4. (shotchkiss)
This is what I have done.
No mufflers - sound good, add a little hp, and reduced weight.
K&N w/ cut lid. - add a little hp, and reduced a couple of lbs.
Spare Tire Delete - reduced weight ALOT
New wires and plugs - get it running back to normal.
New Tires.

1. Meziere (or other electric water pump - LT1).
2. A pair of those clips that actually make the luggage space cover work (no kidding!).
3. Good tires.
4. A good tune-up. Best thing you can do.
5. Driving School.
6. New bushings.
