Default Tire size question

Will a 275/40/17 work on an 17/8.5 rim? I got a line on a set of sawblades that are 8.5 and 9.5 and would like to run the same size tire on all corners. What do you guys think? Thanks

A 275 shouldn't be installed on anything less than 9". It would fit I just wouldn't recommend it. 255 would be perfect.

I have 275's on my 8.5 inch front rims that somebody installed on there before I bought it. They work but look a little funny and I dont like it...Best to install 255/45 on front with the 8.5 inch rims.
