About half way through my '88C4 to C5 brake conversion
Tonight I got the right side lined up and "temporarily" installed.
Lining everything up and getting the right size bolts has been a bear.
Tomorrow AM I will do a "permanent" right side install and do the left side too. Then I'll bleed it and take it down the road for a SMOKE and SCRUNCH Test.
Smoke if everything isn't lined up right and ...Scrunch if the brakes don't work :D :D
I went the cheapo route, accumulating everything on E Bay or through friends. So it has taken a little time and effort to run down all the parts.
If it works, I am ahead, since I have less than $ 400 invested....if it doesn't work, ...check out C4 Parts For Sale :D

Got it all done Saturday AM and took the test!
Awesome! If you like driving your car with " Vim and Vigor" I recommend this as one of the best mods you can do.
This winter I have installed 30mm front, 24mm rear sway bars, C5 front brakes and the DRM brake bias spring.
Ready for spring and summer road trips now!

What C5 Capiler adapter brackets did you use? Also where did you get them?

I bought the caliper brackets themselves as well as C5 hardware from Jeff Kopp. I bought the calipers and roters (like new) on E Bay

I've been wanting to do this to my '88 also. Did it make a big difference in your handling and where did you find the sway bars?

I got the sway bars and all the bushings from Jeff Kopp at
http://www.superiorperformancechevy.com
Very good prices, much less than the "catalog" stores
