Where do you buy your distilled water?
Looking to finish up my engine for its first start-up and I want to put distilled water with anti freeze in the radiator. Where do you buy the distilled water and how many gallons do you buy?

Go to any grocery store or discount store. In gal or 2.5 gal jugs. Buy enough to mix 50/50

Evian is a very popular brand. A clear plastic hose is used, instead of a garden hose, to fill the bottles from the tap. Since it has a French name, you might want to carry it home in a brown paper bag......

Yep...do use distilled water.....gosh...really available at any store where you shop....I buy a case of the 1 gallon bottles.....OK....

any grocery store should have it. Like others have said, its mineral free and the only water that goes in my corvette.

Actually prevents the white crap that plugs everything up, especially on aluminum radiators. White crap is the minerals that bind up with the aluminum.

Actually prevents the white crap that plugs everything up, especially on aluminum radiators. White crap is the minerals that bind up with the aluminum.
The same kind of white crap that winds up on your faucets at home. Try to scrape that from inside you engine. :D :thumbs:

I use only GM factory distilled water. My dealer says because I am such a good customer he will sell it to me at cost, only $4 per gallon. They have their supply tank hooked up directly to the facet. Who says all dealers are crooks?
