Default 1990 won't stay on!!!

I just spent all of last week getting my first vette. When the calipers failed, u-joint almost did and found a leak in the gas tank the previous owner had drilled there by mistake, my trip got very interesting and expensive. Home now and car ran beautifully until last night. The engine would not stay on without serious revving and the car would shut down completely when I even pushed in the clutch to slow down or downshift unless I really worked the throttle. Doesn't even seem to idle at all. What should I look at?? Thanks

It might be the throttle position sensor. The first thing I would do is buy some good books. The Helms Manual is the best. Welcome aboard and when you get it all working right you will have a great car. I love my 90.
