Default For a 95 LT1 which Random Tech cats should I use?

I am trying to figure out which cats to put behind my TPIS longtube headers. It appears that most here on the forum are using the Random Tech bullet cats, because of their size and offer the best flow. I am having difficulty finding an installer who has experience with doing this on C4 LT1s. Which part number RT cat are you guys using? Are you using the 2.5" or 3" cat? Where do you recommend buying them and how much should I expect to pay? I found out not to buy direct from Random Tech as they offer a considerable discount to places who make volume purchases ( RT wants $325 ea for a 3" PN 943006). I know they are supposed to be the best, but $650 for cats seems a bit extreme. :banghead: TIA

MORE performance in SC carries them. Or Thunder Racing and Performance SS both are dealers for Random Tech. I know MORE has done this install on some of their customers cars. http://www.moreperformanceinc.com

From the info found on the More Perf site, I should be using Random Tech PN#822701 for the left side and 822704 for the right side on my OBDII 1995 LT1. Does this sound correct?

Those are stock replacements. To work with the long tube headers you need a universal fit bullet cat.

The part # you give is for a Y-pipe on a Camaro.

I found out not to buy direct from Random Tech as they offer a considerable discount to places who make volume purchases ( RT wants $325 ea for a 3" PN 943006). I know they are supposed to be the best, but $650 for cats seems a bit extreme. :banghead: TIA

Thanks to all who posted replys! I called East Coast Supercharging and they hooked me up with a good deal on the new metalic Random Tech Cat (PN#703000) which is supposed to be lighter and flow 134 cfm better than the older version (PN#813000).
