Anyone running Falken ZE-502 or KUMHO ECSTA SUPRA 712 tires on their vette?
The Falkens come mounted on a set of ZR1 wheels I might pick up. I can also buy just but the wheels without tires. The Kumho tires got pretty good reviews on tire rack but I would like to hear from more vette guys about either of these. Thanks! CRUZ 86

i have the kuhmos on my 89 they put up a performance value thats hard to beat for the price. They hooked up better than my bf goodrich comp t/a s that i had before in wet and dry weather, and those cost alot more and didnt seem to last as long either......

the Kuhmos rock. excellent product. and at the price, you can't beat it...
these tires are so good, that if they were 180.00 a tire, they would still be a good deal.

I have Kumho on mine as well. As previously stated they are hard to beat for the price. Sure there are better tires out there, but they come with a heftly price tag.

the kuhmo 712 is around $100 a tire & a great buy, same with the yokohama es100. the real performance tire for your dollar these days is the kuhmo mx. it's really something in performance VS $

I have the Falkens. They are a good tire so far, better than the GSCs. I would have gone with the Ecstas from tirerack.com if I could get them where I am. Super deal.

Kuhmo is the best tire out there under $250 IMO.

I have them on my 92. I ran a NASA fun day at Mid Ohio late last fall and the tires worked really well. For the price they are hard to beat.

I'm running the Falkens, no problems at all. Hook great at the track, not to shabby on the road(wet or dry). I have also heard nothing but good things about the Kumhos. :cheers:

I love my Kumhos.
My car is like a train on rails.
I took a 90 degree turn at 30 on wet pavement without sliding.
They hook up dry like nothing eles I've ever had.
The only draw back is I can't burn out on the company parking lot any more because of the signature patch. :steering:
I got them from Tire rack,then I had to pay Dobbs $12.50 each for mounting & $12.50 each for balancing so I got bent over for $100 getting them installed. :cuss

I have the Kumho ECSTA 712s on my '89 - about 10K miles and they are wearing very good. Seem to handle good - better than BFG Comp T/As for example. Not as good dry as the KDs though. Price makes them a super deal. I also have the new Kumho MXs on my '96 - just fantastic - as good as KDs for half the price.

Have 86 Coupe with stock 86 rims and Falken ZE-502. Better handling than original goodyear, but the ride on city streets a little bouncy.

I have had Kumhos on my 16" and 17" wheels on the 88 and love them. I also have the MX's on the C5 and they are WAY better than the runflats.
