Default Plugging Brake Line???

I need to replace a steel braided brake hose but didn’t want the fluid to all leak out & create another problem with the master cylinder or abs system. So how can I plug the line so it stops bleeding where it connects to the steel line while I drive across town & take the old flexible line with me?
(89 Corvette front right hose)

Do you mean you're wanting to plug this line and drive the car or would you be taking a different vehicle and just need to stop the flow while the car is sitting there?

If it is A, then I'd say don't even try it.
If it is B, then most anything would stop the fluid from dripping out. It isn't under pressure while it is sitting there. Duct Tape it

Are you F’KING kidding me? That’s where you go with a helpful reply! Since you thought of that I can only assume YOU were stupid enough to try such a stupid thing! Duct tape is your intelligent solution…. WTF!
Please do everyone a favor & go play on the freeway!

You can just use a generic vacuum plug a zip tie for insurance. If you don't have any vacuum caps handy, just zip tie the corner of a zip lock bag around the flare👍

Like this.

Or this.

Such hostility for no reason.
Zip tie a ziploc baggie on it.
Do whatever you like. You're overthinking it anyways.

Enjoy your day.

I use two tapered faucet washers and a bolt with a wing nut.

It won't drip our that much in a short time. Make sure your reservoir is full and just let it drip. I've let mine drip overnight before and it didn't drain the reservoir even half way. It's only if you run out of fluid does it put air into the master cylinder.

Default Brake fluid

Press the brake pedal down and wedge a pry bar or something against the seat, fluid will not leak out with the brake pedal depressed.
