hey TunerPro RT users, port setting question
info I found says ALDL port uses 8192 baud, with com port set to 9600 TunerPro connects and reads data but gets errors and random wrong data. com port set to standard 9600 N 8 1. any troubleshooting ideas?

Are you using an RS232 adapter by chance?

using a ALDL to USB that computer sees as COM3. I do also have a USBA to USBC adaptor as my notebook has only USBC. It does communicate but has errors. DA connection status switches from green to short bursts of red (error) and dashboard numbers jump to odd amounts, i.e. RPM shows actual idle rpm then shows 6000 for a couple of seconds, then DA connection indicator shows green again and it returns to actual RPM. All sensors I put on dashboard do same, wild numbers when indicator is red and normal readings when green.
This looks like basic serial settings for speed, parity, ect are correct and some timing setting needs to be adjusted. I see some stuff on this forum, TurnerPro site and others talking about timer and timeout settings but I don't see those names while poking around menu or reading through the configuration files (XDF, ADS).

I have gone into the com3 port settings and played with every setting turning them up and down with no luck in smoothing out the data errors.
Are there settings in TurnerPro that need to be adjusted from menu or ADS/XDF FILES?

I suddenly had a thought (question). Is it even possible to configure for zero error communication or are you just getting it low enough to not skew the readings?

The adx you're using needs to have a ccm silence command. Also if you connect key on engine off, upon engine starting the ccm will start to chatter again. I've been starting the engine first followed by starting the da.

I am new to TunerPro and don't know how to program it yet. Tech savy enough to recognize comm issue but no idea on exact code needed to fix.

answer was found here, 4th post down (3rd down if you don't count initial question as 1). Zero errors after this change.
