Default Muffler Eliminators

Well i finally installed the M.E. I started the car for the first time . WOW. Sounded better than expected. Only one problem, there is 4 " of snow and it's 10 degree's out. So all i got to do was listen in the garage. Does a nice job of rattling the garage windows now. I sat in it and rev'ed it a couple of times sounds good from the inside too. I bought the M.E. form corvette central they seemed to have the best price. They come with no instructions and when i emailed them about that they said to just leave leave the pipe long and trim. They are very simple to install, if you remove the spare and the spare cover. I didn't evan have to jack the car up. I did have to modify the the hanger bracket because i couldn't get the tip as close to the body as the original.

What exactly are they & how much do they cost?? I'm trying to learn as much as possible about these cars, and plan on doing small simple mods such as this one appears to be. After reading these forums, these cars seem to handle n2o well.. so the plans for this car will probably some light bolt ons, with a little juice :steering:

Are they just bypass pipes taking place of the mufflers? Do they just bolt up? No welding?

 I just had a local shop cut my mufflers off and then weld on some dual chrome tips. Just today while out at the store a guy heard me start my car and he stopped me wanting to know what I had done do it.

I bought them at corvette central . I got the M.E. and 2 heavy duty SS clamps for around 160.00 that included shipping. All you do is cut off the old mufflers and bolt on or weld on the eliminators. For now i bolted mine on. If everytjing goes well should only take a couple of hours.

No i don't have any pics. There has been pics on the forum before, if you can find them. just imagine no muffler and the exhaust pipe going back to the tip. That's what it looks like. as for the resonance I won't know till spring when i get the car out of storage. Hey It's a convertible and i'm almost 50 it'll probably sound great to me>
